My first ever pro-elite woman’s win!! On my home track in front of a fantastic supportive home crowed I managed to lead into the first single track and pull away over the four laps to win by a 5 minute margin… I was stoked, what a day!!! The early morning rain and race had settled all the dust down leaving a fast compact track, conditions you could say were perfect. Mavic Ksyrium Equipe wheels. . . It’s all very nice and sooo fast. I need another road race!!!!

I was going strong and riding well until the 5km mark when my legs went bang! The looked the same from the outside, but inside they had started a stop work meeting. The remaining distance I spent riding like a lost little girl wondering where my legs were… That stage wasn’t too much fun…. Fortunately, the rest of the tour went better. I finished each stage with the main bunch and worked hard to make it a worth while training weekend. Continue reading ‘09 Racing Summer’
