I just received an email from BikeNZ today stating that I have been selected to represent NZ at the 2007 World MTB Championships in Fort William (Scotland) as a member of the NZ MTB Team. This will be my first world champs ever and I am very excited! The races run from the 3rd – 9th of September with mine being on the 5th. I can’t wait to go over there and find out where I stack up against the world’s best. It will be a good measure of where I am at and what I need to do to be on top next year. I am lucky enough to still have another year in the U19 age group, so that should be mint. In saying that I am not going to go out there just to participate, it’s the world champs after all so I’ll be giving it everything!! Then once I finish my awesome race (which will be awesome because despite this yucky winter weather I have been training pretty hard) I intend to take a little drive to the Loch Ness where I will find Nessy. Yup I have got a good plan…dont you think?
