Well just recently I was fortunate enough to become part of the new ACC website launch. www.activesmart.co.nz this website is truly amazing. It offers a safe training programme of your choice (running, walking, cycling, netball, snow sports and rugby) tailored to fit you. It covers all the bases including nutrition, anything you may need to know to help you to achieve your personal goals is supplied. I was really impressed by this site and strongly encourage you to give it a visit. Maintaining health and fitness is very important and should be a priority for everyone. This website is very user friendly, so if your not currently on a program you have no excuse. It’s your one hit wonder guys so check it out!

Bikers Do Well In Australia

CHURTON Park’s Samara Sheppard swept all before her when she claimed the cross-country under-19 women’s title at the recent Oceania championships in Thredbo, Australia. Samara admits to being “pretty stoked” by her performance, especially as it was the first time she had represented New Zealand. As there was only one other girl entered in the under-19 race, they had to race against riders in the under-23 category, and 16-year-old Samara beat them home as well.

Crazyman

The Kathmandu Crazyman is a fantastic multisport event that I had a lot of fun in last Saturday. I was in a girly team with Alyssa Blyde carving up the 12km Kayak and a last minute (the night before) rope in of my good old mum to do a great job completing the challenging 18km run. I got to go lucky last doing the 34km MTB bike under Wellington’s typical winter sunshine! It was mint.
